How to Connect a Custom Domain to Your AdsQuiz Quiz or Form
By default, your quiz is already available on the AdsQuiz domain — right after creation. But if you want to host it on your own domain, you can do it in just a few simple steps.
Every quiz or online form builder project created in AdsQuiz automatically gets a public link hosted on our subdomain. You can share it on social media, use it in ads, or embed it on your website — no additional setup required.
But if your brand matters — and you want your quiz to open at an address like quiz.yourcompany.com, form.yourdomain.com, or simply yourdomain.com — AdsQuiz lets you connect your own domain or subdomain. This is a free feature available in your quiz settings.
Where to get a domain if you don’t have one
Before connecting a domain to your quiz, you need to own one. If you don’t have a domain yet, you can purchase one from any registrar: Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare Registrar, or Google Domains. Choose a name that fits your business.
Check availability
Enter your desired name in the registrar’s search. The system will show available options and the annual cost.
Purchase the domain
Complete your order — the domain will be activated in your registrar account.
Fill in your profile
Some registrars require your name, email, or phone number. Without this the domain won’t activate — check in advance.

Step-by-step guide
The whole process takes 5–10 minutes of your time. DNS settings are applied automatically after that.
Log in to your hosting account
Open the control panel of your hosting provider (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, Cloudflare, or your domain registrar’s panel). You need the DNS settings or DNS management section.
Create an A record with AdsQuiz IP
In the DNS section, add a new A record (record type: A) with the following parameters:

Address record — maps your domain to an IP address
@ or quiz (subdomain)
@ — for the root domain, quiz — for a subdomain like quiz.yourdomain.com

Save changes in your hosting panel
After adding the A record, save the changes in your hosting panel. Depending on your provider, the button may be labeled “Save”, “Apply”, “Save DNS”, etc.
Enter your domain in AdsQuiz settings
Go back to the AdsQuiz editor. In your quiz settings, find the “Custom domain” field and enter your address — exactly as it appears in your hosting account.
Save the quiz and wait up to 3 hours
Click “Save” in AdsQuiz. The system will automatically apply DNS settings and issue an SSL certificate for your domain. This usually takes anywhere from a few minutes to 3 hours.

Connecting a custom domain isn’t the only way to publish your quiz. If you already have a website, you can embed the quiz directly on any page using an embed code. Common mistakes when connecting a domain
Domain address in hosting and AdsQuiz don’t match
The most common mistake. Make sure the address in your DNS settings and in the AdsQuiz field are exactly the same — including the subdomain.
Wrong DNS record type
You need an A record specifically — not CNAME or MX. Some hosting panels offer multiple types — always choose A.
Old A records not deleted
If the domain was used before, delete all existing A records before adding the new one. Two A records at the same time cause a conflict — the quiz won’t load.
Checking the domain immediately after saving
DNS can take up to 3 hours to propagate. Wait before checking — testing too early can be misleading.
Forgetting to save changes in the hosting panel
After adding the A record, be sure to click “Save” or “Apply” in your hosting panel — otherwise changes won’t take effect.
Using a root domain instead of a subdomain (or vice versa)
Decide upfront: do you want quiz.yourdomain.com (subdomain) or yourdomain.com (root)? Set up the A record accordingly.
