Quiz Lead Generation Automation with AI: Step-by-Step Guide

Step-by-Step Guide
Learn how to connect your lead generation quiz with Make.com and ChatGPT to automatically process leads and send personalised proposals — without any manual work.

Why automate?

AI-powered automation can save you hours every week. When you combine a quiz builder with a workflow tool like Make.com and a language model like ChatGPT, the entire lead qualification process runs on its own — from the moment a user submits their answers to the moment they receive a personalised proposal.

Integrations like this make your sales funnel more reliable, transparent, and easy to analyse. Instead of manually processing every lead, you get structured data flowing automatically into the right tools.

Note: This guide focuses on ChatGPT (OpenAI’s generative model) as the AI component. Neural networks are systems that mimic human reasoning — they can learn, make decisions, and generate content based on the data you provide.

Step 1

Define Your Quiz Goal

Before building anything, get clear on what you want your quiz to achieve. The goal determines which questions to ask and what data you’ll pass downstream to ChatGPT.

1

Choose a primary objective

Common goals include: collecting contact data for sales outreach, assessing customer satisfaction, or qualifying prospects before a call. Pick one clear objective — it keeps your quiz short and your automation logic clean.

2

Map the questions to the goal

Every question should serve the objective. If you’re collecting leads for a sales team, you need data that helps the manager make the right offer immediately — not generic trivia.

Example: An English tutor collecting enrolment leads might ask: current level, learning goal, and weekly availability. With those three answers, ChatGPT can generate a personalised study proposal before the manager even picks up the phone.

Step 2

Build the Quiz in AdsQuiz

Once you know your goal and questions, it’s time to build. Open AdsQuiz, pick a ready-made template or start from scratch, and customise it to match your funnel.

Quiz questions setup in AdsQuiz

Always collect email and phone at the end of the quiz — these are required to send the ChatGPT-generated proposal to the lead. You can also add a Telegram username field if that suits your workflow.

Competitive advantage: When the lead gets a personalised proposal before they’ve even spoken to a manager, you stand out. Speed and relevance win deals — especially in B2B services.

Step 3

Start in AdsQuiz and Connect Make

With your quiz ready, the next step is setting up the automation pipeline. AdsQuiz integrates natively with Make.com via webhook — no coding required.

AdsQuiz quiz builder interface

1

Open Make.com and create a scenario

Go to Make.com and create a new scenario. Select Webhook as the trigger and generate a custom webhook URL. Make offers up to 1,000 operations per month for free.

2

Paste the webhook URL into AdsQuiz

In your AdsQuiz project, go to Integrations and find the Make.com option. Paste the webhook URL and save. The connection activates automatically.

Security tip: Keep your webhook URL private. Anyone with the URL can send data to your scenario.

Step 4

Test the Webhook — Run It

Before connecting ChatGPT, verify that data is flowing correctly from your quiz into Make.

Testing quiz webhook in Make.com

1

Click Run in Make

Activate the webhook listener in Make by clicking Run. This puts the scenario in “waiting” mode — it will capture the next submission.

2

Submit a test response in your quiz

Fill in your quiz and hit Submit. Check Make — all form fields should appear as a structured data bundle.

Tip: Use the same email address that’s registered in your AdsQuiz account for test submissions. This way the test lead won’t count against your plan’s quota.

Step 5

Connect ChatGPT to Make

Once data is flowing into Make, add an OpenAI module to the scenario. This is where the quiz answers get transformed into personalised content.

Make.com scenario with ChatGPT integration

1

Add an OpenAI module

In Make, add a new module after the webhook trigger. Search for OpenAI, create a connection with your API token, and select the “Create a Completion” action.

2

Write the System role and prompt

In the System field, define what role ChatGPT should play (e.g. “You are a professional marketing consultant”). In the Message field, write the prompt that includes the quiz answers as dynamic variables from Make.

Token settings: For short replies (e.g. a subject line), 200 tokens is enough. For a full proposal or content plan, use 2,000–3,000 tokens.

Step 6

Send the Output — Close the Loop

With ChatGPT generating personalised content from each quiz submission, the final step is routing that output to the right destination — a Google Doc, a CRM, or an email to the lead.

Step 1

Quiz submitted

User completes the quiz and hits Send. Answers + contact data flow to Make via webhook.

Step 2

Data sent to Make

Make receives the structured bundle and passes it to the OpenAI module with your pre-written prompt.

Step 3

ChatGPT generates content

The AI produces a personalised proposal, content plan, or recommendation based on the specific answers provided.

Step 4

Output delivered

The result is copied to a Google Doc or sent directly to the lead’s email — before any human intervention is needed.

You can also push the ChatGPT output into a Google Sheet for your sales team to review, or route it into a CRM. Make supports all major integrations out of the box.

Best Practices

Make Your Automation More Effective

🎯

Keep questions specific

Vague answers produce vague AI output. The more structured your quiz questions, the more useful the ChatGPT-generated proposal.

🔐

Protect your webhook URL

Treat your Make webhook URL like a password. Anyone who has it can trigger your automation with fake data.

🧪

Test with your own email

Use your registered AdsQuiz email for test runs — this prevents test submissions from counting as real leads on your plan.

📊

Route to a spreadsheet too

Send ChatGPT output to a Google Sheet in parallel. It gives your team a searchable archive of all generated proposals.

FAQ

Common Questions

No. AdsQuiz provides a no-code quiz builder, and Make.com is a visual automation platform. The only technical step is obtaining an OpenAI API token and pasting a webhook URL — both take under two minutes.

Make.com offers a free tier that includes up to 1,000 operations per month — more than enough to test and run this workflow for most small businesses. Higher volumes require a paid plan.

Anything you prompt it to produce: personalised proposals, content plans, product recommendations, email drafts, or qualification summaries. The output quality depends on how specific your quiz questions are and how well your prompt is written.

Four to five focused questions is the sweet spot. More than six typically reduces completion rates. Each question should serve a clear purpose — either qualifying the lead or providing data the AI needs to personalise the output.

Yes. Make.com supports a wide range of AI and automation modules. You can replace the OpenAI module with Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or any other service that Make supports — the quiz-to-webhook pipeline stays the same.
