TikTok Pixel

Setting up the TikTok Pixel in an AdsQuiz quiz

The TikTok Pixel is a tracking tool that connects your quiz with your TikTok Ads account. It records the actions of users coming from TikTok ads and sends this data back to the account – so the algorithm can learn and show ads to people most likely to leave a request.

What the TikTok Pixel gives you with AdsQuiz:

  • tracks the whole user journey – from the first ad click to the request submitted in the quiz
  • sends events to TikTok Ads to optimise campaigns for the «Lead generation» objective
  • lets you build retargeting audiences from people who interacted with the quiz
  • gives accurate conversion data to evaluate campaign performance

⚙️ How to connect the TikTok Pixel to an AdsQuiz quiz

Step 1. Open the integration settings

Go to: Quiz settings → Integrations → TikTok Pixel.

Step 2. Get the TikTok Pixel ID

Open your TikTok Ads account and go to: Tools → Events.

If the pixel already exists, copy its ID.

If there is no pixel yet, click «Create New Pixel»:

  • choose the «Web» format
  • name the pixel and finish creating it

⚠️ Important: the AdsQuiz integration only needs the pixel ID – not the whole installation code.

Step 3. Paste the ID and save

Go back to the integration settings in AdsQuiz and paste the copied ID into the field. Click «Save». After saving, the TikTok Pixel will automatically start receiving events from your quiz.

📊 Which events the TikTok Pixel sends

Once connected, the system automatically sends these events:

  • adsquiz_Start – the user opened the quiz
  • Question_N – the user moves between quiz steps
  • Open_Contact-page – the user reached the data collection form
  • Submit Form / Lead – a request was submitted successfully. This is the main event for optimising ad campaigns

🔍 How to check that the TikTok Pixel works

Method 1. TikTok Pixel Helper

Install the TikTok Pixel Helper extension for Google Chrome. Open the quiz link and go through it step by step – the extension will show which events fire at each step and whether data is sent to TikTok correctly.

Method 2. Test events in your TikTok account

Go to your TikTok Ads account → Tools → Events → Test events. Paste the link to your quiz into the field and complete it to the end. In the test events section you'll see in real time how events fire at each step of the quiz – including Submit Form when the request is sent.

💡 Tip: We recommend checking the pixel both ways – Pixel Helper for a quick check in the browser and Test Events to check that events arrive in your TikTok account.

🚀 How to run ads optimised for leads

After connecting and testing the pixel:

  1. In TikTok Ads, create a new campaign and choose the «Lead Generation» objective
  2. In the ad group settings, select your pixel and the optimisation event – Submit Form or Lead
  3. When creating the ad, paste the link to your quiz

⚠️ Important: if the pixel is new, event data may appear in your account with a delay of up to 1-2 hours. Wait until the events appear before running ads with optimisation – otherwise the algorithm will have no data to learn from.
