Webhook
Setting up a Webhook integration in AdsQuiz
A webhook is a technology that automatically sends data from one system to another the moment a certain event happens. Put simply, it's a way to move data from point A to point B without manual work. In AdsQuiz, the webhook fires every time a user submits a request in the quiz and automatically sends all the data to the service you specify.
A webhook is a universal tool that can connect to any service that accepts data via a URL. If the service you need isn't on the standard list of direct AdsQuiz integrations, a webhook solves the problem.
What is sent via the webhook
Every time a lead is received, the webhook automatically sends:
- the user's name
- phone number
- answers to all quiz questions
- UTM tags for tracking the traffic source
The sending method is POST.
📌 Example: sending new lead notifications to Slack via a webhook
Let's walk through the setup with a specific example – automatically sending notifications about new quiz requests to a Slack channel. This is handy if your sales team uses Slack and wants to get new lead messages instantly without checking the CRM or email. You can set up transfer to any other service that supports Incoming Webhooks in the same way.
⚙️ Step 1. Open the integration settings in AdsQuiz
Go to: Quiz settings → Integrations → Webhook.
In the integration field you need to paste the webhook URL you'll get in Slack.
⚙️ Step 2. Create an Incoming Webhook in Slack
Open your Slack account and go to your workspace settings. Find the Apps section and open «Incoming Webhooks». If the app isn't connected yet, add it to your workspace.
Once it's connected, click «Add New Webhook to Workspace». Choose the channel for new lead notifications – for example #new-requests or #quiz-leads.
💡 Tip: Create a separate Slack channel just for quiz notifications – for example
#leads-quiz. This lets managers see new requests right away without mixing them with other messages.
After you confirm, Slack will generate a unique webhook URL – copy it.
⚙️ Step 3. Paste the webhook URL into AdsQuiz
Go back to the integration settings in AdsQuiz and paste the copied webhook URL into the field. Click «Save» and activate the integration.
⚙️ Step 4. Check the connection
In the AdsQuiz integration settings, click «Test» – the system will resend one of the last 10 requests to Slack without you having to take the quiz again. Then go to the Slack channel you chose when setting up the webhook and check that a message with the lead's data has appeared.
If the message arrived correctly, the integration works and all new quiz requests will be sent to Slack automatically.
💡 Important: test sends via the «Test» button don't use up your lead balance – use this feature to check and debug the integration without limits.
⚙️ Step 5. Set up the message format (if needed)
By default Slack receives data in a standard format. If you want a more convenient, readable message – for example, with the name and phone in bold or emoji for clarity – you can do this in the Incoming Webhook settings in Slack using Block Kit Builder.
💡 Tip: Even basic message formatting makes managers' work much easier. For example, add a «New quiz request» heading and put contact details in a separate block – then the message can be read in a second.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Can one webhook send data to several services at once?
No – one webhook URL leads to one service. If you need to send data to several services at once, use a connector service such as Make or Zapier. More details: Make setup

The webhook sends all the data the user left in the quiz – name, phone, email, answers to all questions and UTM tags. The sending method is POST.
Do I need technical skills to set up a webhook?
Basic setup – pasting the URL and saving – doesn't require technical skills.
Is it safe to send lead data via a webhook?
